Lipo
Frequently asked Questions
How does it work?
The iLipo emits low levels of laser energy, the fat cell membranes are disrupted releasing intra-cellular fat. This causes the cell to lose its round shape by changing the permeability of the cell membrane. This does not affect the neighbouring structures such as skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves. Triglycerides spill out from the broken cell membranes and are released into the interstitial space, where they are slowly transported through the body’s natural metabolic functions, with no adverse physiological effects and are used by the body as an energy source. This mechanism of action is not “liquefaction of fat” rather, it is the instant breakdown of the fat cells (also referred to as lypolysis).

How many treatments will I need?
To see maximum results a course of 8 treatments is recommended, per body area. These treatments should be taken twice per week at regular intervals.
Which areas of the body can be treated?
The iLipo course can be performed on calfs, knees, thigh, buttocks, stomach, arms and chin. The iLipo system is currently the only system that has 4 treatment pads and is able to treat 2 small areas at once or give you a quicker treatment time. You will be in the clinic for approximately 30-45 minutes
What inch loss could I achieve from this treatment?
This will vary from person to person depending on your size, but the results from the treatment will be greatly improved by your commitment to the treatment. A healthy diet needs to be adhered to and an exercise program is important to follow to enable the released fat to be used up as energy. This should be done within 24hrs of your iLipo treatment.
Does it hurt?
The iLipo treatment is an extremely comfortable treatment the only sensation felt from the treatment pads is slight warmth.
Is it suitable for men and women?
The iLipo treatment works equally well for both.
Can everyone have the treatment?
As with most treatments in your clinic, there are a few medical conditions that would stop us from performing the treatment. Your iLipo therapist will go through a full health and medical questionnaire with you before your first treatment to ensure you are suitable. This will also include a detailed description of the treatment and time for any questions you may have.
How long will the results last?
Booster treatments are not necessarily needed with the iLipo, as long as your weight, diet and exercise is maintained, however One treatment performed now and again is a good incentive to keep you in control.
Ilipo can be comined with RF (Radio Frequency) treatment for even better results
