Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing

We all age, yet none of us want our skin to show the signs of ageing. For centuries, people have sought ways to safely and effectively restore smooth, glowing skin. Now its possible. Pixel Skin Resurfacing improves skin texture and tone, smooths wrinkles, and diminishes brown spots. In short, this procedure erases those factors that add years to our appearance, restoring youthful vitality. Best of all, Pixel Skin Resurfacing does all this without the downtime associated with older technology non fractional methods of skin resurfacing. We can provide the dramatic results of ablative resurfacing treatments without the prolonged healing periods combining the best of both worlds. Pixel skin resurfacing restores the skin to its fresh, healthy state, generally allowing clients to resume their normal routine very quickly.

How does it work?

Pixel skin resurfacing is based on the principal of micro thermal treatment zones. The laser pulses create tiny ablative zones, removing the epidermis and upper dermis. The treatment then triggers the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin tissue. Because only small zones of skin are treated the surrounding tissue is left untouched and intact. These large unaffected areas act as a reservoir for more effective and rapid tissue healing and collagen production. The bottom line is new, healthier, smoother tissue in place of skin imperfections.

What are the side effects?

Your laser specialist will determine the best treatment plan for your needs. Generally treatment involves a course of 4 sessions, at 4 week intervals. Immediately after treatment you may feel a tingling sensation similar to sun burn for a very short period. You may experience slight swelling for a day or two although most people do not. There is usually 2 to 4 day’s of redness which can be controlled with terprolene. Redness can be reduced significantly by using terprolene prior to the treatment. As new skin replaces dead tissue, your skin will flake, a sign that healing is under way. Your skin will look better immediately, and will steadily improve over the next few months.

Does it Hurt?

The treatment itself does not hurt. Pixel skin resurfacing is far more comfortable than conventional laser skin resurfacing. Depending on clients lifsetyles and commitments it may be necessary to plan treatments due to redness of the skin after the treatment. This can however be covered with mineral based makeup and one can resume most normal activity almost immediatley after treatment.

Who can be treated and on what parts of the body?

Pixel skin resurfacing can be performed on clients of most skin types almost anywhere on the body. Since this procedure spares healthy tissue, it can be performed on delicate skin areas, such as the face, neck, and chest and hands. We can combine Pixel Skin Resurfacing with other treatments such as Radio Frequency Treatment to treat stretch marking and scarring. please see the section under Scarring.

The Advantage of Pixel Skin Resufacing

While yielding excellent results, LSR often invlves discomfort and sifnificant down time. That means an extended period indoors, with no sun exposure – an impossibility for many active and working clients.
Compared to other methods, pixel skin resurfacing saves clients time and discomfort. In Short, Pixel skin resurfacing offers the best of both worlds, superior long term results, with minimal discomfort and downtime.
