CONSULTATION

During your consultation, your treatment goals, medical history, and the areas you wish to target will be carefully discussed.
The procedure will be explained in detail, including how the treatment works, the expected treatment course, anticipated results, recovery period, and any potential side effects or risks. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns, ensuring you feel fully informed and confident before proceeding with treatment.
TREATMENT
A series of carefully placed injections will be administered into the targeted area to help break down stubborn pockets of localised fat. Using a fine needle, small amounts of Aqualyx® are precisely injected beneath the skin, where the solution works to disrupt fat cells, allowing the body to naturally eliminate them over time.
Treatment is tailored to your individual concerns and body contouring goals, with the procedure typically taking 30–45 minutes depending on the size and number of areas being treated. Multiple sessions may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
AFTERCARE
Following treatment, some swelling, tenderness, redness, bruising, and warmth in the treated area are normal and can be expected for several days. To support the healing process and optimise your results, we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, excessive heat, saunas, steam rooms, and direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours after treatment. Staying well hydrated and gently massaging the area, if advised by your practitioner, may also help support recovery.

What to Avoid
- Strenuous exercise and vigorous physical activity for 48 hours.
- Saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and excessively hot showers for 48 hours.
- Direct sun exposure and sunbeds for at least 48 hours.
- Alcohol consumption for 24–48 hours, as this may increase swelling and bruising.
- Anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen) unless advised by your practitioner, as inflammation forms part of the treatment process.
- Tight or restrictive clothing over the treated area for the first few days.
- Applying excessive pressure, rubbing, or massaging the treated area unless specifically instructed to do so.
- Additional aesthetic treatments in the same area until advised it is safe to proceed.

ARE AQUALYX RESULTS PERMANENT?
Yes, the fat cells destroyed by Aqualyx are permanently removed. However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial to prevent remaining fat cells from expanding.
CAN AQUALYX BE USED FOR WEIGHT LOSS?
No, Aqualyx is not a weight loss treatment. It’s designed for body contouring and targeting specific areas of stubborn fat in individuals close to their ideal weight.
